E-management in Algerian public health institutions, reality and obstacles, a case study of El-shahid Asli Mohamed Hospital in Ain El-Melh, M'sila

Abstract

This study aimed to shed light on the reality of E-management in Algerian public health institutions and to clarify the most important obstacles. The sample study consisted of 35 out of 47 employees working in the hospital, and a questionnaire consisting of 21 phrases distributed over 4 axes was used.

the most important findings of the study is that the future vision of E-management is not clear to the employees, the absence of coordination between the departments within the hospital, the hardware and software of IS are not consistently updated, the absence network security software’s, the employees face difficulties in dealing with E-management tools and software This is due to the lack of appropriate training programs. The hospital does not have sufficient financial capabilities to implement E-management.
