The Production Function of the Health Sector in Algeria During the Period 2000–2017

Abstract

The sustainable development goals are characterized by their broad scope and coverage of most elements of public policy and the provision of public services, from health care to education and environmental protection, as well as institutional and governance aspects, and on this basis we have tried, through this research paper, to review performance to provide objective assessments on the level of service delivery Main health and policy outcomes related to the implementation of the sustainable development goals at the level of Algeria. This was done during the period 2000-2017. The study concluded that Algeria has made progress over the past two decades in the coverage and quality of health care services, through regular improvement in indicators and a decrease in the incidence of infectious diseases. The study also recommends that through its analytical and measurement aspect, the health sector in Algeria does not need additional resources as much as it needs good in rationalizing and managing these resources in order to ensure quality and effective health services for all individuals.
