Impact of Political stability on Foreign Direct Investment in Algeria An Empirical Study Using The ARDL Approach

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the impactof political stability on foreign direct investment FDI flows in Algeria for the period between 1996-2020 using the Autoregressive Distributed Lag Model (ARDL) proposed by Pesaran and al (2001).the results of the study found that the index of political stability, rule of law and government stability has a positive impact on FDI flows in Algeria in the long term, as it was found that the corruption index has a negative impact on foreign direct investment in Algeria.
