The green economy and its role in achieving the luxury
Keywords:
Green economy, economic well-being, reality, challengesAbstract
This research aims to explore the nature of the green economy and the mechanisms for transitioning to it. This transition has become an urgent necessity due to the environmental degradation Iraq is experiencing. This deterioration is due to the rapid development of various industries, in addition to internal conflicts, wars, and resource depletion, which have led to the emergence of social, economic, and environmental problems that have negatively impacted the overall performance of the Iraqi economy.
As Iraq strives to achieve a green economy, there is an urgent need for decision-makers to adopt effective legislation and laws aimed at protecting and sustaining the environment, and transferring environmentally friendly technologies to conserve natural resources. Multidimensional poverty must also be combated to remove obstacles to the transition to a green economy. Hence, the research focuses on examining the path of the green economy as a means of achieving social well-being in Iraq.
