This study aimed to evaluate and analyze the impact of knowledge management as a strategic mechanism for achieving competitive advantage, through a case study of Sonelgaz Institution Médéa Branch. Accordingly, the descriptive method was adopted in the theoretical part of the study to present the concepts and theoretical frameworks related to both knowledge management and competitive advantage. In the applied part, the analytical method was employed to analyze field data and test the hypotheses. Data relevant to this study were collected using a questionnaire distributed to a sample of 40 employees from the Sonelgaz Institution Médéa Branch. The collected data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS).
This study also concluded with a set of results, including that knowledge management with its four processes (knowledge acquisition, storage, distribution, and application) and competitive advantage are applied at acceptable levels in Sonelgaz Institution Médéa Branch.
