An analytical study of the activity of the Algiers Stock Exchange for the period from 2017 to 2022

This study aims to assess the degree of growth and development of the Algiers Stock Exchange during the period 2017-2022, as well as to identify the most important obstacles to its growth and development, without forgetting at the end to propose a set of mechanisms that can contribute effectively to its revitalization and development. To achieve our goal, we used a descriptive approach to present the theoretical framework of the study, as well as an analytical approach to present and analyze the data and data related to the various measures of stock exchange activity. After analyzing the various criteria that are used to measure the degree of growth of the Algiers Stock Exchange, we concluded that the latter did not record any significant development during the period under study, and that the Algiers Stock Exchange does not contribute to capital mobilization, and this is due to many Deficiencies and obstacles, perhaps the first of which is the small number of listed companies.
