Econometric modeling of the causes of digital divide in the Arab world

Abstract

This study aims to build a standard model that shows the most important determinants of the digital divide in some Arab countries using panel data models during the time period 2000-2022, and analyzed the digital situation in the sample countries based on some global indicators. The study concluded that the political stability index, regulatory effectiveness, and GDP per capita had a significant and positive impact on the digital divide .while the gross capital formation index It has not significant effect.
