Keywords:
Corona pandemic, the statement of cash flows, financial performanceAbstract
This study examined the financial impact of the Corona pandemic on the financial performance of the Algerian Electricity and Gaz Distribution Company, Chlef Distribution Directorate. We analyzed the list of cash flows for this company to arrive at its financial position before, during, and after the pandemic. The study found that this company recorded good numbers, especially about its ability to generate operating cash flows before the Corona pandemic. We recorded a significant negative impact and its ability to generate operating cash flows declined by 40 percent and then by 22 percent during 2020 and 2021 respectively (the pandemic's peak). However, the policy followed by the company allowed it to recover gradually, as performance in all indicators recorded a gradual improvement after the pandemic.
