The problem of Achieving Food Security in Algeria – A reading on global food security indicators –

Abstract

This study aims to assess the current state of food security in Algeria based on an analysis of relevant on global indicators, then to present the different in addition to presenting the different measures and measures and procedures taken by the State to achieve food security, with emphasis on the role that the agricultural sector can play in achieving food security in Algeria. Among the main results of this study, it should be noted that Algeria has been able to achieve several successes in the field of food security despite the existing challenges. However, despite the importance of these successes, they remain insufficient and have a limited impact. Indeed, the analysis of the indicators studied indicates that food security in Algeria is not yet fully achieved, and that there are many imbalances that threaten food security and require urgent intervention to achieve the desired objective.
