Psychological Stability and Digital Recruitment Skills Acquisition among Libyan University Students University of Derna - Libya

Abstract

This paper aims to analyse the impact of psychological stability on the acquisition of digital employment skills among Libyan university students post Daniel natural disaster in September 2023, during the accelerated digital transformation and the growing role of AI in the labour market with identifying key related barriers. A sample of 150 Economics students was selected to examine the main challenges faced by Libyan undergraduate students in this context. Moreover, creative-oriented sessions and direct observation were conducted to collect the required data for this qualitative study, alongside the use of visual statistical analysis, including histograms, tables, and graphs. The findings indicate that students’ psychological instability has not received adequate attention. This study opens the door for policymakers and academics to take appropriate action. Therefore, it is highly recommended to provide psychological support for Libyan university students at all educational levels, as this is a key factor in enhancing self-confidence, motivation, and overall academic success. However, further research is still needed to explore this important topic in greater depth.
