Keywords:
Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence Tools, University Education, Challenges and ProspectsAbstract
The study aimed to address the theoretical framework of artificial intelligence (definitions, characteristics, types, etc.), as well as the applications of artificial intelligence used in higher education, the challenges facing artificial intelligence, and its future prospects in the educational process.
The study attempted to organize a set of concepts related to artificial intelligence and its applications in higher education, as well as the importance of artificial intelligence in achieving accomplishments in various fields, such as medicine, education, industry, and commerce. Artificial intelligence enjoys numerous advantages and characteristics, including the ability to analyse data and make decisions, which makes it a subject of interest for researchers. Additionally, it is considered an essential technology for sustainable development, as it effectively contributes to achieving the well-being of individuals and society.
In this context, the experience of using artificial intelligence applications in university education is witnessing rapid adoption following the success of the services they provide, and their positive impact on the stakeholders in the educational process, including students, professors, and staff. Despite the challenges faced by its usage, it is expected to undergo development and see wider application across all fields and activities.
The study recommends the necessity of supporting the use of artificial intelligence applications in university education, and providing the necessary capabilities for the stakeholders in the educational process, including learners, teachers, and staff. It also recommends equipping educational institutions with the latest AI applications that serve the educational process, and spreading technological culture while raising awareness among educational institutions and the community about the positive impacts of artificial intelligence.
