Abstract

The study aimed to address the theoretical framework of artificial intelligence (definitions, characteristics, types, etc.), as well as the applications of artificial intelligence used in higher education, the challenges facing artificial intelligence, and its future prospects in the educational process.

The study attempted to organize a set of concepts related to artificial intelligence and its applications in higher education, as well as the importance of artificial intelligence in achieving accomplishments in various fields, such as medicine, education, industry, and commerce. Artificial intelligence enjoys numerous advantages and characteristics, including the ability to analyse data and make decisions, which makes it a subject of interest for researchers. Additionally, it is considered an essential technology for sustainable development, as it effectively contributes to achieving the well-being of individuals and society.

In this context, the experience of using artificial intelligence applications in university education is witnessing rapid adoption following the success of the services they provide, and their positive impact on the stakeholders in the educational process, including students, professors, and staff.
