This study aims to analyze the role of digital banks as a modern banking model in the digital age, focusing on the European experience and outlining its characteristics, importance, and impact on traditional banks. The study employs a descriptive-analytical approach, presenting theoretical concepts, analyzing data and statistics related to the development of this type of bank, and interpreting recent trends in the European banking market.
The study concludes that digital banks represent a qualitative shift in banking activity due to their reliance on technology, reduced costs, and improved customer experience.
This has boosted their adoption and profitability, particularly in Europe, without eliminating the role of traditional banks. Instead,
they have contributed to reshaping the sector towards an integrated model.
