The article presents the issue of textual interpretation, and highlights the context; Being one of the most prominent clues that help to understand the text and interpret it correctly and reveals what is meant by it. Also, this study marked by: The role of context in interpreting the Qur’an Surat Yusuf is a model aimed at introducing the context, showing its status and fields, and demonstrating that many commentators referred to it in the past and modern, and gave it its status vis-à-vis other clues, and a few other sect may neglected it, or exceeded its use This resulted in a defect in the comprehension of the text, and the felony was primarily on the text ... and the Quranic context can be divided into types: * The context of the Qur’an. * The context of the surah. * The context of the text, passage, or verses. * The context of the verse.
