Abstract
This study addresses the tendency to sentimental attachment;
a subjective tendency that makes a person in a dire need to be with a special person forever.
This subjective tendency is well marked in the poetry of Jamil bin M'amar towards his beloved, Buthaina. Ibn M'amar, a famous poet of chaste (Udhri) love
The conclusion sums up the most important results of the study. It highlights the role of tendency to sentimental attachment in the emergence of a poet suffering from anxiety, lack of enthusiasm, depression, and loss of harmony with reality, searching for an alternative virtual world to attain self satisfaction. This was clearly reflected in the poet's language and his poetic texts.
