Abstract

A crime may be committed by a single individual or be the result of the combined efforts of several individuals, with responsibilities varying between the original perpetrators and their accomplices. The aim of this research is to determine the responsibility of the original perpetrator as opposed to that of the accomplice, while reviewing the position of the Algerian legislator.

The research concluded that Algerian legislators combined the theories of independence and dependence in determining responsibility and punishment, and considered the instigator to be the original perpetrator.
