Abstract

This study addresses ", The role of election in promoting participation and political" as election is one of the basic pillars in building democratic systems, as it represents a platform for citizens to participate effectively in political and community decision-making. Through it, the popular will is embodied in choosing leaders and formulating policies that meet the needs of the society. Election also enhances the culture of citizenship and establishes the values of transparency, accountability, and equality, which contributes to achieving political and social stability. The success of elections in achieving their goals depends on individuals’ awareness of the importance of their role, the transparency of the electoral process, and the commitment of the democratic principles. Therefore, enhancing electoral participation contributes to promote political and community development and ensures fair representation for all sects of the society. In general, elections play an important role in developing popular participation, through the influential roles played by parties, which are considered among the most important pillars of political participation by nominating community representatives to run for elections and encouraging individuals to participate in the electoral process by electing parties representatives to win the elections.
