Abstract

The objectives of the study are twofold:- To design special exercises aimed at developing
speed-strength for the back-row spike from position (1).- To identify the impact of these
exercises on the performance of the back-row spike from position (1).
The researcher adopted the experimental method with a two-group design (experimental
and control), as it is considered the most appropriate approach for addressing the research
problem. The research population consisted of volleyball players from the Specialized
Training Center in Al-Shatrah for the 2024–2025 season. The findings highlighted that
the special exercises had a significant impact on improving speed-strength among the
experimental group, given that the exercises were specifically designed to enhance this
physical attribute. Moreover, these exercises showed a clear influence on developing the
performance of the back-row spike from position (1). A statistically significant
improvement was observed in the accuracy and effectiveness of the back-row spike
execution among the experimental group after completing the training program.
