Building and rationing an internet addiction scale for players and its relationship to Premier League football match results

Abstract

The aim of the research is to build a scale for Internet addiction for football
players, and to find standard levels for the Internet addiction scale for soccer
players, and to identify the relationship between the Internet addiction scale for
players and its relationship to the outcome of the Premier League matches in
football. The researcher assumed that there is a statistically significant
relationship at a significant level (0.05) between the Internet addiction scale for
players and its relationship to the outcome of Premier League football matches,
the researcher used the descriptive approach in the method of correlational
relations. The research sample consisted of the players of the Premier League
football clubs, which amounted to (180) players as a sample for construction and
legalization, and they were randomly selected from the research community.
They were selected in a regular way from the research community, and the
researcher reached the most important conclusions and found a statistically
significant relationship at the level of (0.05) between the scale of players
’Internet addiction and its relationship to the outcome of the Premier League
matches in football, and that this addiction has a negative impact on match
results. The researcher reached the most important recommendations, which is
the need to reduce Internet addiction by Premier League football players, because
it has a negative impact on match results
