Abstract

The introduction and importance of the research is based on the fact that the handball player requires high performance in all skills, especially in the (7) meter throw, because the accuracy of its execution is an important variable in the field of motor behavior because it requires motor execution with the least possible errors. Hence, the importance of the study lies in knowing the relationship between psychological toughness and accuracy of (7) meters. As for the research problem, most of those concerned did not give enough attention to preparing the players from the psychological side by developing some psychological variables that characterize each player and developing those variables through training. Which leads to wasting effort and time in training and then not achieving the required level and results. The research aims to identify the relationship between psychological toughness and the shooting accuracy of a throw (7) meters in handball for a student of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Kufa The researcher used the descriptive approach in the manner of survey studies and correlational studies. For its suitability to the nature of the problem, its solution, and the achievement of the research objectives to solve the problem. The research community was determined by the students of the fourth stage at the University of Kufa - College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (2021-2022), whose number is (89) students.
