The effect of using the educational bag on learning the defensive skills of receiving and defending the court with volleyball for students

Abstract

The game of volleyball contains the basic defensive and offensive skills that lead the team to victory
if the team members perform them perfectly and quickly. Basic skills are necessary to raise the level
of the team, and the skill of receiving the serve and defending the court is one of the important
defensive skills, as through it one can avoid losing a direct point, which enables one to know the
parts of the movement clearly and precisely in an optimal way. The importance focuses on using a
new educational method and subjecting it to experimentation and testing. The extent of its efficiency
in achieving learning, which benefits the educational process in terms of communicating the required
information about the skill in a better way, which results in better learning. The problem of the
research lies in the fact that the researcher, who is a follower and fan of the game of volleyball,
noticed that some teachers do not rely on educational exercises in teaching defensive skills according
to correct movement paths, so the researcher decided to use the educational bag to learn the skills of
receiving the serve and defending the court with volleyball for the students. These were the most
important goals. Designing an educational bag to teach students the skills of receiving the serve and
defending the court in volleyball. The researcher used the experimental method by designing (two
equal groups) with pre- and post-tests, where the research population was determined intentionally
by students of the second stage / College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences - Dhi Qar
University for the year 2023-2024. In light of the research results, the researcher reached the
following conclusions: The educational portfolio contributed In learning the skills of receiving and
defending the court with volleyball better. As a result of using the educational bag, some
recommendations were made. The researcher recommends the necessity of using the educational
portfolio within the curriculum to save effort and save time, as well as to achieve good results in the
education process
