Abstract

Players who have social support from their teammates behave in ways that lead to respect, while players who have low social support about themselves tend to behave in ways that are consistent with the images they hold about themselves. To develop their psychological characteristics, he noted that the level of the players was very modest in many aspects, but what caught the researcher’s attention was the weak level of psychological variables among them. Therefore, the researcher is trying to identify them by identifying social support, which in turn is reflected in the psychological flow of the players and enhances their self-confidence during performance. To identify the relationship between social support and psychological flow of youth football players, the researcher used in his study the descriptive approach using the survey method and correlational relationships as the best and easiest method to achieve these research goals, as survey studies. The researcher defined the research community as young players of the clubs of Najaf Governorate for the sports season 2023-2024. The researcher chose the research sample using the random method, as the research sample included young players of the clubs (Najaf, (60) players out of (108) and a percentage of (55.5) of the research community. The most important conclusions are that the coach should be interested in developing human relations between him and his players and defend their legitimate rights and help them solve their problems and remove some external burdens from the player and help him focus on the match. The most important recommendations are the existence of a significant relationship between (social support and the level of psychological flow) for the clubs (Najaf, Naft Al-Wasat, Kufa), while no significant relationship appeared for the clubs Al-Khawraq and Al-Tadamon.
