Abstract

The current study aims to shed light on one of the basic societal needs that has a direct impact health and life of the individual, namely health services. This is far from health as a general concept from its narrow perspective, which interprets disease as the result of organic causes only. Which led to the emergence of several specializations that attempt to know the different factors affecting health and disease and change the quality of the various health services provided to individuals. Among these specializations we find health psychology, which focuses in its interpretation of diseases on the biopsychosocial model. So how does health psychology view health services? To answer this question, we will address the concept of health services from the perspective of health psychology, in addition to defining the duality of health and illness, as well as health psychology and health communication, and finally knowing the group that requests health services.
