The role of the cooperative learning method during the teaching process in developing and improving the basic skills in handball among secondary school students (a field study at the level of secondary schools of the municipality of Sidi Okba-Biskra)

This research aims to identify the role played by the cooperative learning method during the teaching process in developing basic skills in handball among secondary school students. The researcher used the experimental method to verify the hypotheses of the study, as the original population size for the research was 117 students, from which 48 students were selected. As a sample for the study in an intentional manner, the researcher designed two groups, one experimental group subject to the cooperative learning method, and the other a control group taught according to the usual (followed) method, using pre- and post-measurements for the two groups. The research concluded that the cooperative learning method has a positive role in developing Both the passing and receiving skills, as well as the dribbling and shooting skills in handball activity.
