Our study focused on mental imagery in sport as a complement to the training process of handball players and its effectiveness in developing skill performance level. The study included two homogeneous groups, experimental and control. We applied a full mental imagery protocol to discover its effectiveness in developing skill performance level in passing. The results revealed that systematic, continuous and codified training in mental imagery support athletes control various emotions and develop their concentration, statistically significant differences in the level of skill performance the experimental vs control groups, Regular mental imagery training has a positive effect on the skill development performance level.
