This study aims to clarify the relationship between sports journalism and the phenomenon of violence in football stadiums. To this end, we adopted the descriptive survey approach, with a sample size of 1,200 supporters of MC Saïda, selected at random. We used a questionnaire comprising three sections, each addressing one of the three hypotheses. The study's key findings are that football fans follow the written press, and that the causes of stadium violence are a lack of cultural awareness and biased refereeing. Furthermore, the study suggests that sports journalism can help reduce the prevalence of violence in football stadiums. Based on these findings, we recommend that media outlets refrain from provoking the emotions of competing teams and their supporters, and instead adopting methods that promote peace and tranquillity for both players and fans.
