Abstract

The current study aimed to investigate the degree of mental health among a sample of people with disabilities
(deaf-mute category) practicing adapted physical and sports activities, in addition to examining the
significance of the differences between the sample members according to age and gender. To achieve the
objectives of the study, the researcher relied on the descriptive approach. A questionnaire consisting of 17 phrases was designed in its final form to measure the degree of mental health, and it was applied to a sample
of 35 individuals distributed according to gender and age. Using a set of statistical methods, the study
concluded that the degree of mental health among the sample members was average, and that there were no
statistically significant differences between the sample members attributed to the gender variable, in addition
to the absence of statistically significant differences attributed to the age variable
