Abstract

This study focuses on the importance of enhancing cooperation between Algerian universities and economic institutions, particularly emerging startups, as a vital tool for achieving economic development in Algeria and meeting the demands of local and international markets. The study analyzes the current state of this cooperation, highlighting the role of startups as a driver of innovation and job creation, and identifies possible forms of cooperation such as training, joint scientific research, and business incubators, in addition to indicators of the success of these institutions. The study also addresses the challenges and obstacles that hinder this cooperation, such as weak communication, lack of funding, and bureaucracy, and proposes practical suggestions for activating it, such as establishing joint bodies, facilitating procedures, and developing curricula, with the aim of building a strong and diversified knowledge-based economy.
