Abstract

Abstract: The present study aims to identify the level of physical activity and its role in reducing psychological stress among first-year students enrolled in the Common Core of Social Sciences at the University of M’sila. The study sample consisted of 83 male and female students, selected using a purposive sampling method. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher developed a specific questionnaire. Using the descriptive-analytical method and conducting statistical analysis through the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), the following results were obtained: • The level of physical activity among first-year students in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences was found to be low. • Physical activity plays a positive role in reducing psychological stress among these students.
