Abstract

This study aims to examine whether there is a statistically significant correlational relationship between educational competencies and achievement motivation among secondary school physical education teachers. To achieve this objective, the researchers adopted a descriptive correlational method and applied a comprehensive survey approach that included all members of the population (126 teachers across 59 secondary schools). Two research instruments were used: an Educational Competency Questionnaire and an Achievement Motivation Questionnaire. The findings revealed that the participants possessed a high level of basic educational competencies and strong achievement motivation. Moreover, the study found a weak but statistically significant positive correlation between assessment competency, communication competency, and achievement motivation among the sample.
