The contribution of the sports electronic media to the spread of sports consciousness in professional football sports clubs from the point of view of Algerian sports journalists.
Abstract
Electronic media in general, and sports media in particular, have become a central part of human life in Algeria and worldwide since the widespread adoption of the internet at the beginning of the 21st century. This has contributed to raising awareness of sports, especially football, and promoting sportsmanship. Despite its relatively short history in the Algerian media landscape, various media outlets dedicate online space to introducing the public to sports, its principles, and its rules through sports radio and television programs and their websites. They also promote a culture of rejecting sports violence and fanaticism, encouraging sportsmanship and tolerance within the framework of professional sports. This involves providing Algerian sports clubs in the first and second professional leagues with concepts and information about the importance and requirements of professional sports and its necessity for developing the league to a high level in terms of performance and sportsmanship, free from all forms of fanaticism and sports violence. Various Algerian electronic sports media outlets, especially after the establishment of websites, strive to combat this through the advancements offered by sports media and communication technologies, including multimedia, websites, and blogs, to motivate Algerian sports clubs to acquire and disseminate awareness.
