Abstract

The interplay between media and crisis has clearly highlighted the crucial mediating role of the media in crisis management, particularly in providing information about the crisis and mitigating its intensity. The media is a key factor and a tool in crisis management and preparation, given its diverse influences and immense capacity for rapid dissemination. Its ability to psychologically impact individuals, exert intellectual control over societies, and influence and direct their behavior is significant. Therefore, the media can be used strategically in crisis management. Researchers and experts in crisis management agree on the necessity of planning and training in various crisis management strategies, regardless of the nature, scope, or area of ​​impact of the crisis. Scientific planning is a fundamental prerequisite for successful crisis management, meaning the existence of new plans tailored to anticipated crises. This includes media plans, which are an integral part of the overall crisis management framework, not an independent entity separate from it. Media planning in crisis management must complement and be linked to the scientific planning for crisis management, forming its own independent component. The media must act as a primary organization for crisis preparation, readiness, and response. Given the chaos and selfishness that have plagued the Algerian sports scene, leading to crises within the sports community, politics, one-upmanship, mutual recriminations, accusations, and bias have prevailed. The Algerian sports media, in all its forms, especially the print sports press, has attempted to enrich the sports landscape by providing media coverage of most sporting events and issues.
