Abstract

This study aimed to explore the attitudes towards health behavior among a sample of physical education students in middle schools in the city of M'Sila, and to identify differences in these attitudes based on gender, educational level, and the nature of their participation. The study sample consisted of 179 students, selected using stratified random sampling from a total population of 1786, representing 10% of the total population. The researcher employed a descriptive-analytical approach and utilized a scale specifically designed to measure students' attitudes towards health behavior. This scale, modified by the researcher, comprised three sections and 40 items. Statistical methods were applied according to the nature of the study using SPSS version 18. The researcher concluded that students participating in physical education have positive attitudes towards health behavior, and that there are statistically significant differences based on educational level, while no statistically significant differences were found based on gender or the nature of their participation. Therefore, the researcher recommends the necessity of paying attention to personal health, as it protects the individual from diseases, and taking care to shower after practicing sports sessions, getting enough sleep and rest, and paying attention to the cleanliness of the body in general.
