Abstract

This research aims to identify the most common spinal injuries among football players in Yemen, determine the main causes of these injuries, and assess the role of sports media (print, broadcast, and online) in raising awareness and reducing spinal injuries among Yemeni football players. The research sample consisted of 252 football players. Key findings include: - Spinal injuries of varying severity, ranging from mild to moderate to severe, affecting approximately 20.64% of the sample. - Several factors contribute to spinal injuries, including inadequate warm-up, improper movement technique, contact with opponents, and the playing surface. - Yemeni sports media does not play an effective role in reducing spinal injuries among football players. The percentage of awareness programs offered for injury prevention is estimated at 13.10% for print media, 9.52% for visual media, and 6.35% for audio media.
