Abstract

The media plays a significant role in promoting sports globally, and particularly in Algeria. While sports media has undergone several phases, media pluralism has fostered greater maturity and practice in the field, enabling it to play a crucial role in keeping pace with the significant sporting development in our country. This development is evident in the infrastructure being built and the adoption of professional sports in recent years. Despite the opportunities the sports media provides for the overall development of sports, sports administration has not benefited sufficiently from it in improving its management systems. One unfortunate issue plaguing Algerian sports, especially in recent times, is the mismanagement of sports administration by those responsible for its affairs. This mismanagement is prevalent at the club level, across all divisions, levels, and disciplines, as well as at the national federation level. Complaints are constant from athletes, citizens, and even officials themselves regarding administrative bureaucracy, a lack of mastery of modern management methods, and the obstruction of sporting development. Furthermore, the failure to keep pace with advancements in other disciplines leads to a blame game, resulting in delays in improving public services within the sports administration.
