Abstract

Several sports specialists have focused on developing methods and techniques to cultivate athletic performance components, aiming to reach high levels, overcome various challenges, and control all variables—psychological, social, physical, mental, or those related to athletes' health—through scientific and systematic methods. These specialists have concentrated on youth categories, recognizing them as the primary source of talent for senior athletes in all sports and competitions. They strive to create programs and methods tailored to the individual's developmental characteristics, fostering a synergy that achieves a balance between the physical, psychological, and mental spheres. For example, in athletics, several approaches have been developed to align the development of physical fitness attributes with the athlete's growth stages from a young age. This aims to provide a solid foundation that ensures the continuity and stability of the athlete's development, ultimately leading to high-level athletic achievement. Developing physical fitness attributes in a specific way guarantees this stability and eliminates obstacles to this factor, which is linked to achieving physical balance—a component of overall mental and psychological well-being. However, the observed and followed approach The reality of this process in Algeria, especially in running competitions, clearly shows this fluctuation, if not extinction and merging, in the major categories, taking into account the abilities and qualifications of these runners or athletes in the youth categories at a high level, and they achieve important results at the high level. This makes us wonder, from an angle directed towards the physical aspect, about the compatibility between the methods, goals, and stages of physical development of the athlete or runner for running races.
