Aerobic capacity indicators for football players

Abstract

Raising the level of football requires a high level of competence in preparing training and competition programs, taking into account the physiological capabilities of the players, especially their respiratory capacity (aerobic and non-aerobic), and accurately implementing and evaluating these capabilities. This is achieved through reliance on physiological tests of aerobic capacity, which, as mentioned in the previous discussion, allow us to outline and implement an ideal program for the team and its playing style. Furthermore, our knowledge of the players' aerobic capacity helps us determine their playing positions and the tactical plan that best suits their physical readiness. Therefore, in this research, we will highlight the significant importance of aerobic capacity in football, the crucial role it plays, and the necessity of assessing it through available tests.
