Abstract

Football is one of the most popular sports among the masses, thanks to the significant and remarkable development it has witnessed in recent years. This sport requires thorough preparation on three levels: tactical, technical, and physical. This makes the involvement of sports medicine essential and indispensable. It has become a popular sport characterized by physical intensity. The nature of football makes anyone who sees its techniques, movements, and the enthusiasm that pervades matches admire it and even desire to play it, even without being familiar with its techniques and rules. Study Objectives: - To identify some of the injuries that football players are exposed to and the contribution of sports medicine to their prevention and necessary treatment. - To improve player performance through rehabilitation, raising awareness, and encouraging regular medical follow-up after injury. - To contribute to the health and safety of players and improve their performance and level of play. - To highlight the importance and necessity of establishing and expanding sports medicine centers to address all related needs.
