Abstract

In recent years, the world has been living in a new era full of numerous changes and administrative challenges in the field of sports, driven by the modern technological revolution. Excellence in performance has become the influential and decisive factor for development and progress. Modern sports management is now required to have the ability to adapt to continuous change and growing advancement. The latter has led to the emergence of sports crises, coinciding with the implementation of the sports professionalism system, which stipulates that sports practice in all its forms adheres to professional conditions: continuity, regularity, and contracts. These crises can shake the sports sector and cause it to encounter problems and obstacles that limit its development and progress. A prime example of this is what happened to the Algerian national team during the 2010 World Cup qualifiers against the Egyptian national team, where developments in the crisis almost undermined the diplomatic relations between the two brotherly countries. Therefore, managing such sports crises, especially under the sports professionalism system and within the framework of an international system called globalization, requires full wisdom and prudence and managing them according to scientific theories and practical methods to elevate the level of elite sports in our country.
