Abstract

This study aims to emphasize the role of competitive, adapted sports activity in achieving social adjustment in athletes with disabilities, this group that suffers from some social and psychological pressures that hinder their adaptation in society and to achieve the objectives of the study was followed descriptive approach, which depends on the collection of facts and analysis and interpretation to extract their indications from the identification of the problem, the research sample was selected, methods of collecting information and data and preparing and setting rules for their organization and classification and then analyzed and interpreted and draw instructions and conclusions as we looked at To reach more accurate, objective and realistic results, we have selected our 60 athletes with disabilities who are athletes. At the conclusion of this study we concluded that competitive, adapted sports activities play an important and effective role in achieving social adjustment in athletes with disabilities, as they play an active and prominent role in building the personality of the individual through the development of his abilities and sports talents, in addition to modifying and changing her behavior to suit the needs of society.
