Abstract

The British Anthropological School has produced many distinguished figure with theoretical and applied approaches that explain the similarities and differences in institutions, relationships, events and aspects of human behavior, and Sir Edmund Leach who made a name for himself in an area he did not study as a undergraduate is one of the most prominent scholars in the transition from the study of tribal kinship to intellectual structure. When discussing the structural approaches presented by Claude Levi-Strauss as well as his critical adaptation of Strauss's structural principles in the interpretation of myths and social systems, the research attempts to give an initial presentation of the most important concepts presented by Leach on structuralism while example a practical example in the interpretation of biblical myth.
