Abstract

The solution-centered therapeutic method is considered one of the latest abbreviated therapeutic methods, as its origins date back to the early eighties of the twentieth century by its founder, Steve de Shazer. It is considered evidence of its spread, and unlike other therapeutic methods, this therapeutic method does not delve into the search for pathological symptoms nor the factors that contributed to its emergence as much as it goes directly to solutions.

Through this paper, we seek to deal with this type of contemporary counseling and therapeutic methods, with the aim of providing an overview of the origins, foundations, techniquesnature of the counseling relationship, the nature of clients, and the problems it addresses, with the aim of enlightening specialists in the field with its implications.
