Abstract

Pollution is defined as the introduction of new substances into living environmental elements, including plants, animals, humans, and the installation of non-living natural elements such as air, soil, etc. that have disrupted environmental elements. Although environmental pollution can be the result of natural accidents, the word "pollution" generally means that pollutants have a human source, i.e. from human activities. Through this topic, we aim to know the impact of environmental pollution, with the difference and diversity of its natural and human resources, on the architectural heritage. The effects of pollution on materials can be felt at the level local, by a corrosion effect due to sulfur dioxide, blackening and crusts of buildings by largely dust from the combustion of petroleum products, as well as by different weather changes, humidity and microorganisms.
