Abul-Abbas Ahmed Shamakhi: His biography and method in his biography

Abstract

This paper was exposed some aspects of the biography of Sheikh Abul-Abbas Ahmed Shamakhi(d.928ah/1522 ad), the author of the Siyar, , and the definition of his important other works of jurisprudence and doctrinal.  It also touched on the approach that he followed in his biography , as he is a model for a moroccan Ibadi biographer, who represents the last Ibadi historians of the medieval era, who collected biographies before him of Ibadi biographies.I found that he followed in his biography unique approach, mixed the approaches of his pedecessors such as Wardjilani, Wassiani and Dargini, in a simple style, free of strange words, he was able in his book to makes him Siyars ibadi encyclopedia to walk before him.
