Abstract

The ten years between 1888 and 1898 represented a strange and cruel contrast for East Africa (the region that would later be known as the Republic of:  Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi). It turns out that the German process of invasion and occupation is final decision. It was also clear that it could be resisted by the African tribes. Whatever, The Germans did not have the diplomatic and military capacity to manipulate the Africans and the Swahili and divide them, as they contented themselves with their old imperial methods. Their knowledge of the details of the geopolitical situation was not at the level of knowledge of the African rulers and leaders, so they were implementing the strategy of invasion, crawling, and advancing randomly and uncoordinated, The thing that made them collide with many African resistance movements which were not always the same, and imbalances appeared according to the social and cultural cohesion or lack thereof in each tribe of African tribes.
