Abstract

The article "The British Orientalist Thomas Arnold's Perspective on Calling to Islam (Daʿwah) in Western Sudan" examines the historical context of Thomas Arnold's views on calling to Islam (Daʿwah) in the Sub-Saharan area of Africa, focusing on several key aspects. In the first section, the article introduces the British Orientalist Thomas Arnold. The second section is on the early stages of Islam's emergence in Western Sudan.
