This article falls within the writing of biographies and historical accounts. It concerns Si El-Shalali Lamine, the Quran teacher, who hails from the family of Ouled Sidi El-Said in Magra. Since joining the civil organization of the National Liberation Front in 1956, he fulfilled his duties to the fullest, despite being continuously pursued by French colonial forces and their collaborators. On the one hand, this article highlights these challenges, and on the other, it seeks to shed light on the multiple roles played by Si El-Shalali Lamine during the Algerian Liberation Revolution, roles he hid behind his position as a Quran teacher. This effort contributes to documenting and writing the history of the liberation revolution in the Magra region, based on historical documents held by his family and relying on oral history preserved in the collective memory of the local population
