Algerian-Spanish relations through the British newspaper "Courier de l’Europe" between 1776-1791

This study deals with the texts included in the British newspaper "Le Courrier de l'Europe" published in French - which appeared in 1776 - related to the relations between Algeria and Spain between (1776-1791). Despite its coverage of the international events prevailing at the time, its pages included many texts related to the relations between Algeria and Spain during the period indicated. The aim of this study is to examine the various aspects of the relations between the two countries, including the events of the naval military conflict between the ships of the two countries, the events of Oran occupied by the Spanish, including the Algerian attacks on the city, the earthquake and news of the Oran earthquake of 1790, the campaigns of Antonio Barcelo on the city of Algiers in 1783 and 1784, and the negotiations and conclusion of the treaty in 1786 between the two countries
