The relationship of the Ottoman authority with the Emirates of the Sahara Desert

Abstract

he Ottomans dominated all north Africa and Mediterranean costs, during the 16th and 17th centuries, the countries of Arabian Maghreb have submit to the ottoman authority without resistance , but the Ottomans couldn't access to the southern desert (The Sahara desert) , which contained the Saharian states who were Stubborn and rebellious, these Saharian states refused to pay the tax and submit to the Ottomans. And since the Ottoman Empire was the Islamic caliphate, So It has a legitimate right to rule this Emirates in the Islamic sense. In this article we tried to clarify the relationships between the Ottomans and these Saharian states
