Abstract

The region of Laghouat is characterized by natural features, an important geographical location, and a history full of events and various antiquities, as many civilizations have succeeded in it. It gave it a prominent importance, especially at the end of the Ottoman rule, in its quest to extend its influence and gain the loyalty of its inhabitants.

       In this article, we will address the role of the geographical factor in determining the relationship of rejection and rebellion by the people of Laghouat towards the Ottoman authority and the latter's response to this rebellion.
