Abstract

The importance of the ancient Maghreb, has remained in place to this day. historians and geographers,wrote about it, each according to the circumstances of the era in which he was living, and some of them wrote about it without ever visiting it, like the geographer Strabo.Therefore the aim of this study was to stand on the importance of Strabon's writings as a source material in writing the history and geography of the ancient Maghreb,as well as highlighting its rich economic components, which were and are still driving his political destiny , and we found the fact that these writings tended to glorify everything that is Roman and see in it the source of every civilized development for areas that can be controlled
